Kitty's Got Claws!

I know this looks bad, but Capatain N: The Game Master was just telling me he loved me. I think.

The Captain

This is my fuzzy little friend. His name is Captain N: The Game Master. He keeps me company and we look out for each other.
He's also very photogenic, so you can look forward to seeing lots of pics and video of him here on my blog!

Do YOU think I can DANCE?!

Not a lot of people know this about me, but I'm actually an avid dancer and, if I say so myself, I'm fairly good at it. Dancing is a great way to express one's self artistically as well as a great exercise activity. It makes you feel great. Body AND mind.

So a while back I stood in a long, stupid line to audition for the show So You Think You Can Dance Canada. Although I tried my best, the judges did not think I was right for the show. That's their decision, and I respect it. I was just SO disappointed.

Anyway, I still believe that some people might want to see the dance I created, so I got my friends to help me make this video. If you think my dancing is TV worthy, or even if you don't, please drop me a line at ron (at) videoyeah.com.

Enjoy!

"Take me home and love me"

I found this bike in Old Montreal a few years back. I think about this bike from time to time. It was just left in the street with as sign that said, "Take me home and love me," in English and French. People kept walking on by with barely a glance. Poor bike.
A few hours later, after my friends and I finished dinner at a restaurant, we walked down the same street and just a block or so from where we had originally seen it, the same bike was lying discarded on the ground. Its tires were all warped and broken and its frame had been bent. The sign was still attached.
I know it's just a bike and that it doesn't have feelings, but I have feelings and they were broken by some hooligan out for mindless destruction.
In a lot of ways, we, as people, are a lot like that bike. Just broken machines, alone on the streets looking for someone to love them. And when they're destroyed with little thought and much malice, it hurts us all.
Human dignity is something we all share, and damage to one spirit is damage to them all.
